Black Crowes - Goodbye Daughters Of The Revolution

The Black Crowes released their first album in seven years Warpaint independently on March 4th via the band’s own newly-formed Silver Arrow Records. Warpaint is the follow-up to the Black Crowes 2001's flop Lions which peaked at Number 20 in the US and sold less than any other Crowes album. During the seven year hiatus frontman Chris Robinson formed Chris Robinson & the New Earth Mud and released two albums: a self-titled album in 2002 and This Magnificent Distance in 2004. In more recent years Crowes founding members Chris and his brother Rich toured together acoustically under the moniker "Brothers of a Feather."
Warpaint turns a new page in the Black Crowes biography with the addition of two veteran musicians - second guitarist Luther Dickerson, of North Mississippi Allstars, and keyboardist Adam MacDougall. The pair join brothers Chris and Rich and drummer Steve Gorman and bassist Sven Pipien.
For Warpaint the Black Crowes holed up in Woodstock, New York at Allaire Studios with producer Paul Stacey (Oasis). Hear the country-tinged lead single, Goodbye Daughters of the Revolution, here.
