Here are 10 helpful ways that can help you and the world on your quest to live a Greener lifestyle:
1. Check your commute
If it's possible maybe biking or walking to work is an option. You'll save money on gas and improve your health!
If you live too far from work that biking or walking isn't possible, maybe the Max or the Street car is an option, if not even investigate on carpools at your office

2. Reuse or buy used
Looking to redecorate? Maybe you've just moved? Look at Craigslist to track down furniture, appliances, etc instead of buy new.
When it's gift giving time, get creative! Make homemade gifts, or if that's not your style donate to a good cause.

3. Buy Local
Shop at the closest farmers market, it's generally more expensive but you can generally get a high quality product. It's saves energy by reducing fossil fuels needed to transport food across the country.

4. Compost
If you have the outdoor space, compost your food scraps and reduce the amount of waste you send to the landfill. Then you can use the compost for your garden (or your neighbors garden). If you don't have the outdoor space try an indoor vermiculture (worm composting).

5. Save Energy and $$
Lowering your thermostat in the winter a couple degrees will save on your utility bill.
Wash clothes in cold wather whenever possible, if you're able to air-dry them afterwords even better!
When replacing burnt out light bulbs, replace them with low-energy compact fluorescent bulbs

6. Pass on the Bottled Water
Filter your tap water instead of drinking bottled water. Bottled water produces large amounts of container waste

7. Make your own Cleaning Supplies
Using ingredients you have in your household, such as baking soda, soap, and vinegar you can make cheap, easy, and non-toxic cleaning products that really work!

8. Keep an eye on your electronics
Recycle your cell phone.
E-waste from discarded cell phones and computers is a growing environmental problem. So keep your electronics as long as possible and dispose of them responsibly

9. Go meatless for a meal
Vegetarianism isn't for everyone, if you can handle one meatless meal you'll not only save money but the cost of meat production requires huge energy inputs and creates noxious waste problems.

10. Use the Library!
Checking out books, movies, and cds from the library instead of buying them will save you money and printing resources.
